Hull City Signs New Sponsorship Deal With Sportsbet.io

Hull City has recently announced a two-season partnership with online gambling operator Sportsbet.io. This agreement will see Sportsbet.io become the main sponsor and official betting partner of the team in Turkey, as well as feature the brand’s logo on the players’ shorts.

Brett Carroll, the Head of Commercial for the Championship soccer team, expressed his excitement about the new partnership with Sportsbet.io, describing it as a significant collaboration with a reputable brand that will help raise the profile of the club. Carroll highlighted the growing number of Sportsbet.io users in Turkey, making it a lucrative deal for the next two seasons. It is worth noting that Hull City owner, Acun Ilıcalı, is originally from Turkey and has a strong presence in the media industry in the region.

This is not the first time that Sportsbet.io has partnered with an English soccer club. In August 2023, the gambling operator signed a deal with Premier League side Newcastle United, becoming a club partner. Such partnerships between sports teams and gambling brands have been a hot topic in the UK. Recently, the UK Gambling Commission issued warnings to Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace for entering agreements with gambling brands under the Kaiyun Sports umbrella that do not possess a UK license. Additionally, the Commission raised concerns about the white label agreements with TGP Europe being potentially outdated.

Overall, the partnership between Hull City and Sportsbet.io marks a significant collaboration that is expected to benefit both parties. With Sportsbet.io’s strong presence in the Turkish market and Hull City’s growing fan base, this deal has the potential to enhance the visibility and success of the soccer team in the upcoming seasons.
