BetMGM is making a strong commitment to promoting responsible gambling messages at NFL stadiums this season. The initiative kicked off on Thursday with the Kansas City Chiefs facing off against the Baltimore Ravens. Working closely with the American Gaming Association (AGA), BetMGM is dedicated to raising awareness about responsible gambling during Responsible Gaming Education Month in September.
Nine NFL stadiums will feature these responsible gambling ads, including the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium and Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders. In addition to stadium ads, BetMGM plans to release commercials featuring brand ambassadors promoting safer betting practices in the coming months.
MGM Resorts International is also getting involved by contributing $440,000 to support the efforts of the Kindbridge Research Institute and the International Center for Responsible Gambling. This funding will help these organizations conduct important research to better understand the impact of gambling on different populations, particularly those at higher risk of developing problematic behaviors.
Stephen Martino, Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President of MGM Resorts International, emphasized the importance of gaining a deeper understanding of how gambling affects various groups. By supporting research in this area, the hope is to identify strategies to mitigate the potential harms associated with gambling.
Overall, BetMGM’s commitment to promoting responsible gambling at NFL stadiums and MGM Resorts International’s support for research in this area reflect a growing awareness of the importance of addressing problem gambling and promoting safer betting practices. Through these efforts, the industry is taking proactive steps to ensure that gambling remains a form of entertainment rather than a source of harm for vulnerable individuals.
