Police apprehended a suspect who went on a crime spree in two states, robbing a gas station and attempting to steal from a casino’s VIP gaming lounge. Richard Martinez, 29, donned a face covering resembling a mask or scarf during the incidents. Despite his unsuccessful attempt to obtain money from the VIP gaming lounge in Sioux City, South Dakota, Martinez managed to get cash from a Pump ‘N Pak gas station in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, where he brandished what appeared to be a gun. Surveillance footage helped authorities identify Martinez as the culprit, leading to his arrest later that day while driving a stolen vehicle. He now faces charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree theft, with a $30,000 bond keeping him in Woodbury County Jail.
