Flutter-owned FanDuel has extended its partnership with International Game Technology (IGT) to power its retail sportsbooks across North America until 2028. The four-year contract extension, announced by IGT, was backdated to September 1, 2024. This partnership solidifies a relationship that began in 2019 when FanDuel launched its first US brick-and-mortar sportsbook at Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment in New Jersey, powered by IGT’s PlaySports subsidiary.
Under the extended agreement, IGT’s PlaySports will continue to provide its retail betting solution to FanDuel, along with iGaming services such as player account management and access to its in-house trading team. FanDuel President Christian Genetski praised IGT’s PlaySports arm for helping deliver a top-notch customer experience, which has contributed to FanDuel becoming America’s leading sportsbook.
IGT Senior Vice President Joe Bertolone expressed the company’s commitment to assisting clients in maximizing the potential of retail sports betting by offering exceptional player experience and reliable technology through PlaySports. The partnership has resulted in 27 FanDuel sportsbooks across 20 North American jurisdictions, all equipped with PlaySports pads and kiosks.
Overall, the extended partnership between FanDuel and IGT highlights the ongoing collaboration between the two companies in providing customers with a seamless and high-quality sports betting experience. As FanDuel continues to expand its presence across North America, the partnership with IGT will play a crucial role in driving growth and innovation in the sports betting market.
