Phil Hellmuth to Become New Spokesperson for BetRivers

Phil Hellmuth, the all-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner, is set to become a spokesperson for BetRivers, as indicated by a series of posts on social media. In these posts, Hellmuth shared videos and pictures from a photoshoot in San Francisco where he was dressed in BetRivers gear from head to toe. While he never explicitly mentioned BetRivers in the videos, it was clear from his attire and actions that he was promoting the brand.

It seems that Hellmuth will be representing both BetRivers Poker and BetRivers Sportsbook, as he was seen posing at a poker table and wearing hockey gloves and holding a stick in the videos. He even mentioned that he bets on various sports, further hinting at his new role as a spokesperson for BetRivers.

Hellmuth’s ties to Rush Street Interactive (RSI), the operator of BetRivers, further support his upcoming ambassadorship. In 2020, he invested $300,000 in dMY Technology Group, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that later acquired RSI, making it a public company on the New York Stock Exchange. Despite selling his shares in RSI due to unfavorable market conditions, the stock price has since increased.

BetRivers has a strong presence in the online sportsbook industry across multiple states and Ontario. Notably, RSI recently launched BetRivers Poker in Pennsylvania, which is a reincarnation of Run It Once Poker founded by Phil Galfond. While Run It Once Poker shut down in 2022, RSI’s acquisition of the platform paved the way for its relaunch in the US.

Overall, Hellmuth’s upcoming role as a BetRivers ambassador aligns with his previous investments and involvement with RSI, highlighting his connection to the brand. Additionally, BetRivers’ expansion into the poker market reflects the company’s growth and commitment to providing a comprehensive online gaming experience.
