Second Edition of Irish Poker Festival to Take Place Oct 29

The Irish Poker Festival is making a comeback at the end of this month with an exciting guarantee. Fintan Gavin, the mastermind behind the festival, had a bold vision to bring high-stakes live tournaments back to Ireland. Last year, he announced the inaugural Irish Poker Festival with a €700,000 guarantee on the Main Event and a total of €1 million in guarantees across the festival. Many in the Irish poker community doubted his ability to meet the guarantee, but Fintan proved them wrong. Despite some initial panic when only 17 players were registered on a crucial Saturday, the festival exceeded expectations and Fintan’s reputation for pulling off the seemingly impossible was solidified.

This year’s edition of the Irish Poker Festival is set to take place from October 29 to November 3 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin. The festival will feature guarantees of over €1 million, including the €700,000 guaranteed Main Event with a €3,000 buy-in. The Main Event will run from Wednesday to Sunday with three days of intense poker action. One of the early highlights of the festival will be the €70,000 Mystery Bounty event where lucky players can win giant bounties. Defending champion Thomas Murphy is aiming to claim all the mystery prizes this year.

In addition to the Main Event, the festival will also host the €1,100 Irish Poker Championship from Friday to Sunday. This prestigious tournament has seen past winners such as Padraig Parkinson, Steve Dwyer, and Jude Ainsworth. Festival partner Coin Poker is offering a €2,500 NLH tournament over the closing weekend, with satellite events running every Sunday to give players a chance to win packages.

Fintan Gavin is not just focusing on poker this year, as he has announced EDGE, Europe’s Gaming Expo, a unique conference that will run alongside the Irish Poker Festival. The expo will feature 20 workshops and a lineup of speakers including whistle-blower Jonathan Raab, leading ladies ambassador Tanya Masters, poker pros Alec Torelli and Padraig Parkinson, among others.

Overall, the Irish Poker Festival promises to be an exciting and action-packed event for poker enthusiasts in Ireland and beyond. Fintan Gavin’s determination to push the boundaries and deliver unforgettable experiences in the world of poker is evident in the lineup of events and guarantees for this year’s festival. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be part of this thrilling poker extravaganza!
