Playtech and UNLV Partner to Utilize AI for Responsible Gambling
Playtech, a leading casino game developer, has teamed up with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) to explore the use of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance responsible gambling practices. One of the key projects supported by Playtech at UNLV’s International Gaming Institute (IGI) is focused on programming chatbots to assist individuals in improving their gambling habits, particularly in the realm of sports betting. Additionally, Playtech is funding a new internship as part of the IGI’s inaugural Gaming Manufacturing Internship program.
Kasra Ghaharian, Director of Research at UNLV IGI, emphasized the importance of utilizing advanced methodologies to identify, predict, and prevent potential gambling-related harm.
